The European Union is clearly saying symbolically that their goal is a defiant reversal of an act of God. The prophecy of Daniel chapter 2 tells us that this end-time attempt at unification will ultimately fail as an unfinished work, that it will soon be replaced by the Kingdom of God.

Dan 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Dan 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.


The EU expanded from 15 members to 25 in 2004, making a new constitution necessary for practical governing. Before it could come into effect, the EU constitution had to be ratified by all 25 EU member states, either through a referendum or by a parliamentary vote. Nine countries already had done so: Austria, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain, however, rejection by even a single remaining country would prevent it from taking effect in November of 2006. The "no" vote that derailed the EU constitution happened on May 29th, 2005 in France. The Netherlands also voted "no" on June 1st, 2005 and the United Kingdom announced on June 6th, 2005 that it would not vote on the constitution. For all practical purposes, the EU constitution and its attempt at unity is dead.

As of January 1, 2007, the EU expanded to 27 nations with the addition of Bulgaria and Romania.

The European Union dropped plans for a constitution and decided to amend two existing treaties instead. Signed by the heads of state in Lisbon on December 13th, 2007, it still had be ratified by all 27 member nations to go into effect. Ireland, the only country to put the treaty to a public vote, defeated the Lisbon treaty proposition on June 12th, 2008.

In September of 2009, Czech senators filed a complaint against the treaty in the constitutional courts that delayed Czech signing of the treaty.

Ireland voted again on October 2nd, 2009, approving the Lisbon treaty, and Poland's President signed the Treaty on October 10th, leaving only the Czech republic's president to approve it, who has said he will not sign the treaty unless his country is granted an opt-out from the EU's Charter of Fundamental Rights.

On November 3rd, 2009, Czech president Vaclav Klaus signed the Lisbon Treaty, after the complaint to the constitutional courts was rejected. The Treaty became law on December 1st.

Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy, chosen unanimously by the 27 European heads of government over dinner on November 19th to become EU President, is a devout Roman Catholic who was educated at the Jesuit Sint-Jan Berchmans College in central Brussels, and has degrees in philosophy and applied economics from the Catholic University of Leuven. This brings to mind:

John Bolton: Russia's Loading of Nuke Fuel Into Iran Plant Means Aug. 21 Deadline for Israeli Attack

News that Russia will load nuclear fuel rods into an Iranian reactor has touched off a countdown to a point of no return, a deadline by which Israel would have to launch an attack on Iran's Bushehr reactor before it becomes effectively "immune" to any assault, says former Bush administration U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton.

Once the fuel rods are loaded, Bolton told Fox News on Friday afternoon, "it makes it essentially immune from attack by Israel. Because once the rods are in the reactor an attack on the reactor risks spreading radiation in the air, and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf."

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin declared in March that Russia would start the Bushehr reactor this summer. But the announcement from a spokesman for Russia's state atomic agency to Reuters Friday sent international diplomats scrambling to head off a crisis.

The story immediately became front-page news in Israel, which has laid precise plans to carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities while going along with President Obama's plans to use international sanctions and diplomatic persuasion to convince Iran's clerics not to go nuclear.

In a nutshell, this is the New World Order. Soon this very similar event will unfold, and indeed is unfolding before our very eyes. It is said in the scripture that, " there is nothing new under the sun", and throughout the history of mankind, the desire by those who have taken hold onto the reigns of power, have arisen with that power the desire to control the entire wealth, resources, land, labor, and even the thoughts and actions of all humanity.

Nimrod, the mighty hunter, was a hunter of men's souls. He sought to consolidate the resources and wealth of the earth in his day by creating a world government in the name of "security" and "prosperity" lest the people should "be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." And like Nimrod, those in power in our time also have within them the desire to bring about a world governing "tower" by consolidating and controlling the wealth and resourses of the nation-states in order to "protect" us.

In the days of Nimrod, the whole earth "was of one language, and of one speech". Today in our era, we too, are of one language through the developement of translating technologies and learning tools. We have the ability with the click of the mouse button to translate our thoughts and intents into any language on the globe. Likewise, English has become the international language used in trade and business throughout the continents, thus bringing the entire population of humanity into "one language, and one speech".

The name Nimrod comes from the Hebrew word marad, which means to rebel. This is also where the modern english word "marauders" comes from. Those in power, like Nimrod, have rebelled against the Most High, and have also sought to consolidate their power by controlling the masses.

The Elite have worked hard to bring the nations under one banner, or global mindset, if you will. Through various organizations, think-tank groups, foundations, and media groups, they are in the very process of bringing all peoples to the same preliminary stage of a world government - and that is the ability to communicate globally;
"Now the whole earth was of one language and one speech.."
This has been brought about through organizations such as The Council on Foreign Relations, The Royal Institute on International Affairs, The Trilateral Commission, and several others. Through public education, our children have been taught that "globalization" is vital to humanity and its progress into the future. The globalists have also fostered concepts of "environmental catastrophes" to bring about unity on a global scale. Since "global warming" is a threat on an international scale, we must be united in the cause of protecting ourselves from its devestating effects,(or so the globalists would have us believe).

And just as Nimrod convinced the masses in his time to consolidate their nations and tribes into a "global community", so too, the "Rebel Globalists" in our days hope to get the nations to repeat these words;
"...Come, Let us build ourselves a city and a tower, whose top is in the heavens. Let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."
With the flood still fresh in the minds of the children of Noah and his three sons, Nimrod was able to convince the people in his day to build a tower that would reach far bove the threat of another flood, and therefore protect them from the judgement of the Holy One.

The globalists of our day have contrived a second "tower" under the banner of The United Nations, in hopes of convincing all nations that they too can have protection from environmental catastrophes, war, poverty, etc.

There is a push at this time to bring about a global currency, a global army, and a global government. With this push there also has to be a global religion. This religion is based on environmentalism, or the worship of "Mother Earth". It is necessary to replace the Creator of the Bible - Yahweh - with another, in order to bring about this unifying process into a "second tower of Babel" known now as "The New World Order".

Why is this necessary?

"But Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men built.

And Yahweh said: Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do. After this, nothing that they purpose to do will be withheld from them.

Come now! We will go down, and there We will confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth; and they ceased building the city." -Genesis 11:5-8
When the people in Nimrod's day began to consolidate their power and resources under an oligarchy, or dictatorship, The Almighty knew that there would be no way to stop this world power once it would come into being. In scattering the peoples abroad over the face of the whole earth, and confounding their languages, or their ability to communicate, he would in effect, also stop a world ruling dictatorship.

This is the modern day concept of Sovereign Nation-States. This gives security and freedom to all by in effect making it impossible for any one nation to become an "All-Powerful" entity. We can look back to the lesson of WWII and the defeat of Hitler by Sovereign Nation-States that had the ability to protect themselves and help in the defeat of this Tyrant.

Under world government, a dictator, or ruling class Oligarchy, there would be no way to stop the desires of those in power. We know that with power comes often corruption, and " absolute power corrupts absolutely". This is why the League of Nations was a failure. Borders and sovereignty ensures freedom and prosperity. The absence of these brings tyranny.

The globalists need to destroy the "Judeo-Christian" God of the Bible because we are assured of certain unalienable rights given by God Himself;
"When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with one another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitles them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to separate.

It is necessary for the global elite to bring about a form of universal religion without Yahweh, the Creator in the Bible, in order to destroy the thought and concept of "God-given rights". In The New World Order (The second Tower of Babel), there must be a total reliance of the people on The State, and "State given rights"-for whoever gives the rights to you can also abolish those rights.

In a world of Sovereign Nation-States endowed with "certain unalienable rights" by our Creator, their is relative freedom from tyranny, and the ability to fight against such threats. This is also the reason the New World Order advocates push for "global trade agreements" and many of the United Nations efforts to destroy national boundaries, under the guise of "security and prosperity".

If we are to defeat the New World Order (The Second Tower of Babel), then we must learn a great lesson in the defeat of the First Tower of Babel - Protect and defend our right to remain a Sovereign Nation with distinct boundaries, and stay out of foreign entanglements, especially the United Nations, and continue to remain as "One Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all" - and cease in building the Tower.

The White House is in a full-scale political melt-down. All the economic news is bad:


-- Unemployment is stuck at 9.5 percent (or 16.5 percent if you include "discouraged" workers)'


-- The trade deficit for June was $49.9 billion, the largest since October 2008'


-- The Commerce Department estimated on July 30 that the economy expanded at a 2.4 percent annual rate in the second quarter, but that was before the trade gap numbers which may well cause Commerce to revise the GDP downward.


-- That led the Fed to release a statement saying that: "The pace of economic recovery is likely to be more modest in the near term than had been anticipated."


-- All of which led the Dow to drop by 260.56 points (1.22%) in yesterday's trading.

The political news isn't much better for President Obama.

-- The four most recent national polls show the President's approve/disapprove rating at an average of 44%-51%. (Only the Pew Poll showed the President in plus territory, but even at that he was below 50 percent approval).


-- According to NBC's John Harwood: "Most Americans would go along with temporarily extending the Bush tax cuts for all taxpayers, including the wealthy, until the economy recovers, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey has found."


-- Democratic candidates -- from those running for Congress to those running for governor -- would rather be caught swimming nude on a beach in the Bahamas than be seen with President Obama by their constituents.


-- Senior House Democrats Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel are facing ethics trials which will begin only six weeks before the mid-term elections.


-- White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs this week lashed out at "professional Liberals" who are not being as supportive of Obama as the WH staff believes they should be.


-- That led to a blogger in the Left Wing "Center for Media and Democracy" website to write: "The progressive left is, rightfully, up in arms over the lack of integrity President Barack Obama has shown across the gamut of burning contemporary political issues. These include, but are not limited to issues such as war, health care, secrecy, warrantless wiretapping, and environmental issues, among many others."

If conservatives had lashed out against George W. the way Liberals are having their way with Barack H. less than three months before a mid-term, it would have been cause for screaming headlines in all 23 daily newspapers still in existence in America: "Base to Bush: Get With Our Program or Get Out!"

Before you start polishing your resume to send in to the new Republican majority in the House, consider this: Voters in mid-terms tend to be more ideologically driven than voters in Presidential elections.

For most people, voting is not an intellectual exercise; it is an emotional expression.

The Wall Street Journal poll release yesterday shows Congress with an approval rating (if you can call it that) of 21-72 and 60 percent rate Congress' performance as "below average" or "one of the worst."

You would think, what with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid running the side show on Capitol Hill, that the electorate would be giddy with the prospect of the GOP taking control.

Not so fast. 33 percent of the respondents of the WSJ poll hold a "very" or "somewhat" positive view of Democrats; but only 24 percent have those same feelings about Republicans.

What does that tell us? The Dems have done about as much damage to themselves as they can do. The GOP doesn't have to prove that the Democrats have failed.

What Republicans have to do between now and November 2 is to give people a reason to feel good about voting for the Republican candidate for Governor, Senator, Congress, State Legislature, or Mayor.

Republican candidates for Congress have to win a huge percentage of the seats in play for the GOP to take control of the House. If they don't come up with a coherent message, voters may well decide to punish Republican incumbents as well as Democrats.

Only a relatively few "bad surprises" in November could tip the balance back to the Democrats and turn the election of 2010 into a meltdown of GOP hopes.

Report: Food Prices Already Starting to Skyrocket

Experts warn that overall food-price inflation is inevitable, as Wal-Mart reportedly has already hiked prices amid a recent jump in wheat prices and the failure of the Russian harvest.

The most immediate impact will be felt in the price of bread and bakery products but other food items which make use of grain will also rise, according to analysis from Verdict research. This includes some meat products where grain is used as animal feed.

Meanwhile, a recent JPMorgan survey of supermarket pricing in Virginia showed a 5.8 percent increase in average prices at Wal-Mart, which represents the most significant sequential increase since the inception of the study in January 2009, the Business Insider reported.

The survey compared a 31 item like-kind basket at a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Kroger, Safeway, Harris Teeter, and Whole Foods, the Business Insider reported.

Should wheat prices remain elevated for the next few months, shelf prices for many products could go up by 6.7 percent within a year, Verdict reported. Some items, such as croissants, could go up by as much as 11.1 percent.

While the failure of the Russian wheat harvest has caused a temporary spike in prices, these high prices won't last for long because of excess production in China and the United States. But global fundamentals are supportive of a long-term rise in the price of food, The U.K.'s Telegraph reported.

At the moment there are just fewer than 7 billion mouths to feed around the world. The United Nations believes there will be more than 9 billion people by 2050.

In fact, the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization forecasts that total world demand for agricultural products will jump 60 percent between now and 2030, rising much more rapidly than the population.

This rapid increase is because the areas of the world where the population is rising the fastest are also the areas of the world that are moving out of poverty, the Telegraph reported.

Demand for grains in emerging markets increases more than the population because of one simple fact – richer people eat more meat. This increases demand for grain feeds for livestock over and above that used for human consumption.

Ironically, a wheat stockpile in India that could feed 210 million people for a year is starting to spoil because the government lacks enough warehouses to store it.

According to a government estimate obtained by The Associated Press, 17.8 million metric tons of wheat are exposed to the elements — stored outdoors, under tarps in India's pounding monsoon rains. The wheat could alleviate hunger in a nation where one in two children are malnourished.





Making a mockery of sanctions

Sanctions on Iran always look better on paper.




The sanctions imposed on Iran by the UN, EU and US have always looked better on paper than in real life.


Their major underlying flaw – not the only one by any means – is the probability that not everyone will adhere to them.


In some cases – such as Venezuela, Syria and lately Turkey – this may be a matter of provocative defiance. In another category are countries less ideologically confrontational but with various economic and geopolitical axes to grind. These include, first and foremost, Russia, along with a host of former USSR components, and China and other East Asian states.

Most galling, however, is the behavior of certain European democracies such as Switzerland which, for their own good, should be in the vanguard of the struggle to defend free world interests against a rogue regime with nuclear ambitions.

It’s bad enough that this struggle is limited to hardly adequate measures. But that makes it all the more imperative that western democracies, at the very least, do their utmost to meticulously abide by these strictures. Otherwise, they are a lost cause to begin with and little more than a cover-up for scandalous and self-defeating inaction.

Just as the Western powers are haltingly ratcheting up their sanctions, to take a highly relevant case in point, the Swiss energy giant Elektrizitätsgesellschaft Laufenburg (EGL) is threatening to help render these very sanctions mere hollow declarations. Its major 25-year gas contract, signed two years ago, to import over 5 billion cubic meters annually of Iranian gas valued at 18 billion Euros, far from being abandoned, is now all-systems-go, with a projected pipeline to ferry the fuel via Turkey.

This isn’t the private vagary of an insubordinate firm. It was sponsored with fanfare by the Swiss government itself. Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey mounted a pilgrimage to Iran to “witness” the signing of that momentous gas-supply contract. Sporting a sheer white head scarf, she accorded the transaction her government’s official stamp of approval and lent the occasion high profile, prestige and legitimacy.

At that very time, the new Swiss Ambassador Walter Haffner was presenting his credentials in Israel, and he faced a dressing-down by the Foreign Ministry’s Western European Desk chief for representing a country doing business with Iran. Calmy-Rey responded: “Switzerland is an independent country which has its own strategic interests to defend.”

A year later, Israel temporarily recalled its ambassador to Bern after Swiss President Hans-Rudolf Merz hobnobbed with Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and, in so doing, in Jerusalem’s view, sent rather the wrong message to those calling for Israel’s annihilation.

More recently the Swiss government issued contradictory statements on the export of nuclear pressure gauges to Teheran.

Switzerland’s lax export-control regulations have combined with a gung-ho pro-Iran trade policy to undermine international efforts to compel Teheran to suspend its nuclear enrichment program.



THE US has already imposed a $536 million fine on Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse for violating US prohibitions on business with Iran. Now EGL is in the sights of American congressional probes and, pending investigation, might find itself on the US sanctions blacklist.

When asked by The Jerusalem Post this week about whether the deal may dent international sanctions provisions, EGL spokeswoman Lilly Frei responded that EGL conforms to “local laws and [the rules of the] international community…We have a contract with the company, not [with] Ahmadinejad,” she said.

Plainly, this is a cynical feigning of innocence. It cannot be that business would be countenanced with every Iranian firm whose board of directors isn’t chaired by Ahmadinejad.

There is ample cause to suspect that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is affiliated with the National Iranian Gas Export Company. But even that needn’t be the touchstone.

Sanctions are imposed to make it difficult for a regime which inordinately endangers world peace to carry on unhindered. That is the logic. Money is fungible. Whatever enriches Iranian coffers – especially given the tyrannical nature of the regime – can, even if not directly, help fund terror and/or help Teheran to proceed with nuclear weapons development.

The Swiss aren’t that naive. They know the score perfectly well. They should not make fools of the rest of the world. They should know better than to undermine what are ultimately free world interests, most emphatically including their own.

The great American un-recovery: Banking failures and swindling the wealth from working and middle class Americans. Household assets off by $11 trillion from 2007 peak.

The economic profession and bankers on Wall Street have taken a hit to their credibility with missing the biggest recession since the Great Depression. It is understandable for the average person on the street to miss something as nuanced as a tiny recession but for a group of professionals whose mission statement involves understanding the economy and then to miss the biggest economic headwinds in a century is just inexcusable. This is no tiny recession. We have witnessed the unfortunate destruction of trillions of dollars and untold damage to the American working and middle class. Yet we are told from these same professionals that we are in a recovery. There is plenty of room to remain skeptical about this group.
